TrapTester (FAPS)

The prototype for TrapTester, originally referred to as FAPS, was developed by the Fault Analysis Group (FAG) and in 1988 commercial development of an entirely new system was undertaken by Badley Geoscience. Through the 90s FAG and Badleys were partners in three DTI funded projects for system development, in which we carried out research directed towards new functionality and Badleys continued software development. FAPS was renamed to TrapTester several years ago and now includes the full range of analytical methods for fault and fault seal analysis from seismic data, as well as much of the functionality originally included in TransGen. TrapTester is arguably the leading tool for fault and fault seal analysis within the hydrocarbon industry.

Commercial enquiries should be directed to Badley Geoscience.
