This is an excellent example of chevron folding within a limestone-shale interbedded sequence, Loughshinny, North Dublin, Ireland. Notice that the limbs of the folds are straight.

A beautiful box fold within greywackes at Clogherhead, north of Dublin (photo by H.P. Steyrer). Notice the development of a fanning cleavage!

This is a beautiful example of a plunging fold (the fold is plunging towards you) from Loughshinny, North Dublin, Ireland. Also notice that the fold hinge exhibits a bend, stepping to the right.
